The Smart Port Project is a European project by the Andalusian Institute of Technology, in collaboration with various ports around the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, among which is the Port of Málaga, which participates through the Port Authority Malaga and Málagaport.
The project is based on an actual, viable and rigorous study of competitiveness and energy efficiency of container ports in the Mediterranean Sea, and is an adaptation of the concept 'Smart City' a 'Smart Port'.
The project is underway right now, and is funded by ERDF.
